Oil Pan Coatings

Improve oil control. Reduce heat. Maintain performance.

Performance-Focused Oil Pan Protection

Oil pans operate in a demanding environment where both lubrication efficiency and temperature control directly affect engine performance. Our coatings work on two fronts: internal coatings promote faster oil return, while external coatings dissipate heat to maintain stable oil temperatures.

For complete engine thermal management, pair with piston coatings and bearing coatings.

  • ✔ Internal oil-shedding for faster return
  • ✔ External heat-dispersant coating
  • ✔ Reduced oil temperatures
  • ✔ Improved lubrication stability under load

Faster Oil Return

Internal coating promotes oil shedding back to the sump.

Heat Dissipation

External coating helps reduce oil temperatures.

Lubrication Stability

Maintains oil performance under high load and heat.

Component Protection

Cooler oil means better protection for bearings and moving parts.

Two Coatings, One Goal: Better Oil Control

Oil is the lifeblood of any engine — and how quickly it returns to the sump affects everything from windage losses to consistent oil pressure. Meanwhile, oil that runs too hot loses viscosity and protective capability.

Internal oil-shedding coating is applied inside the pan to promote faster oil drain-back. Oil flows more freely to the sump rather than clinging to surfaces, improving overall lubrication efficiency and reducing windage losses at high RPM.

External heat-dispersant coating (TLTD) helps radiate heat away from the pan surface, working to lower oil temperatures and maintain viscosity under demanding conditions.

Oil Pan Coating FAQs

What do oil pan coatings do?

Internal coatings improve oil return and lubrication efficiency. External coatings dissipate heat to help reduce oil temperatures.

Do internal coatings affect oil flow?

Yes. Internal coatings promote oil shedding, allowing oil to return faster to the sump and improving overall lubrication performance.

What is the purpose of external coatings?

External heat-dispersant coatings radiate heat away from the pan, helping control oil temperatures during operation.

Are oil pan coatings only for performance engines?

No. They benefit both performance and street-driven vehicles by improving lubrication efficiency and thermal control.

Can oil pan coatings be combined with other coatings?

Yes. Many customers combine oil pan coatings with piston, bearing, and cylinder head coatings for complete engine protection.
